The West Virginia Injury Prevention and Control Program provides coordination of injury prevention activities throughout West Virginia by building partnerships with other state and local organizations.

A primary initiative of the Injury Prevention Program is implementation of the West Virginia Rape Prevention and Education Project.  This initiative is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and provides for the implementation of primary prevention of sexual assault in West Virginia.
